Cambrian Critter themed cupcakes!!
6 themed cupcakes based on Critters from the Cambrian era.
This is the planning for the two critters i did, the first one is the Hallucinogenia and the other was the Pikaia.
What went well:
I think both of my critters turned out fairly well and look pretty accurate to my planning sheet.
The taste of the cupcake turned out exactly as expected.
The graham cracker crumb sand also turned out perfect.
What could have gone better:
One of the critters wouldn't take shape and would keep flopping over.
The most challenging aspect was to try and form the fondant and shape it into the critters it self.
I love how all 6 of the cupcakes turned out, the sand ended up looking very good and the blue buttercream works perfect as water.
I think if I was to make the same cupcakes again I would use more icing sugar to make the fondant less sticky.
Overall I think these cupcakes turned out amazing
