Pysanky are traditional Ukrainian dyed egg. You use wax and a vinegar based dyed to do it. It takes a traditional to0l called a kistka to apply the wax. Pysanky has been around since the tenth century. It originated in Ukraine but has been done in many different places around the world. It takes a lot of time and patience to create pysanky. It takes a few weeks for the eggs to fully dry out internally.
3 things I improved upon: I feel like I got much better at applying the wax evenly and how I planned, I also feel like I got much better at removing the wax from the egg without leaving any excess. I also got better at dying the egg. I got a much more solid color on the eggs as I went on.
Tips: I would definitely take your time to apply an even layer of wax, it turns out much better in the long run if you take your time. Make sure your kitska is hot enough or the wax won't come out as good and as even.
